Seasonal Pet Concerns

Spring Safety Tips for Pets

When spring arrives, our pets are just as excited as we are about getting outside and enjoying the warm weather. Some important things to be concerned about regarding your pet’s safety are:

  • Pest Prevention: As the weather gets warmer, our pets are put at greater risk of pest infestations. It’s important to make sure they are up-to-date on their pest preventatives and safe at all times.
  • Dangerous Plants: When you plan your landscaping for the season, it’s important to ensure that you are choosing plants that are pet-safe. Some plants can be toxic to pets if consumed. Do your research!
  • Chemicals: When you do your spring cleaning and get your yard ready for the season, remember to keep dangerous chemicals out of your pet’s reach. Chemicals like lawn fertilizer, weed killer, insecticides, and more are toxic and should not be used around pets!
